The influences of artists upon other artists. This time, I based the artwork on an Edward Weston’s (1886-1958, U.S.) (1) photograph of this woman taken in Mexico in the 1920s, which is a period of great artistic creativity that is known as the Mexican Renaissance. The woman’s name is Tina Modotti (1896-1942, Italy), also a photographer, and lovers at the time. The title of the photograph is “Tina Reciting”.
